We are open between 08:00 and 18:00 Monday to Friday.  

In order to obtain urgent medical advice outwith these times, please call 111.  Out of hours cover is now provided by Lothian Unscheduled Care Service.  The emergency call centre will answer your call and they will either:

• Arrange for you to speak to a doctor or nurse
• Invite you to attend the centre to be seen by the doctor
• Arrange a home visit if you are too ill to visit the centre
• Organise an urgent ambulance to take you straight to hospital

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In an emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

The Practice will be participating in a training session on the afternoon of Wednesday the 11th of March 2026, there will be a Locum GP on hand to deal with urgent matters.
