NHS Lothian provide podiatry services for feet conditions that cause discomfort such as painful nail disorders, corns and calluses. They also look after diabetics who have feet at high risk of problems as well as those with mechanical and neurological conditions that affect feet. They will see patients with foot ulcers and swellings urgently within a few days but this requires a GP or nurse referral.
For routine referrals please use this form Community Podiatry Self Referral Form to self refer or visit their https://services.nhslothian.scot/podiatry/
NHS Lothian podiatry will not see those with low risk diabetic feet (this is done as part of the annual review long term condition review with our nurse). They will not see people for nail care such as cutting or filing. Please look at this leaflet about caring for your nails Personal Foot Care
